Buying Mother's House

My husband and I are getting ready to buy my parents house. My father passed away last June and my mother is in a nursing home, she has frontal temporal dementia. I have 2 brothers and a sister and we all agreed on a price for the house, but I am my mother's power of attorney and I just wondered if I'm going to hit any snags due to the fact that we are buying the house for about 50% of what is worth?

You'll have to talk with your own attorney, or the attorney for the estate, about that.  Perhaps it would be a good idea to get your siblings' agreement in writing, in case one of their heirs raises a fuss some day?  Ask your own lawyer.
And there's the question of Medicaid, if your mother is qualifying for that.  Again, I'm in over my head on this one, be sure to discuss it with a lawyer, preferably one who specializes in elder law.
