What are the rules about a short sale and as is house sale. My son is buying a house and they are telling him to fix things before he even owns the property. What if the sale falls through and now he has paid to fix things . This makes no sence to me. |

You are right in thinking that your son should not be spending money fixing up someone else's property. But neither you nor I knows the whole situation. Perhaps there are some safeguards in place. Perhaps it's time for him to consult a real estate lawyer for advice. |
