Buy Now or Wait |

My fiance and I began looking for houses since we were told it takes about 3 months and we were hoping to find the place by April to take advantage of the tax credit and close by June. We've already found a place we really like, but it is winter and we know the inventory is a little low now. We have been told by our broker and agent that though inventory goes up in the Spring so do prices, interest rates, and competition. Is this all true? Should we worry about people in real estate (brokers, agents, appraisers, lawyers and inspectors) being swamped with all the people trying to make the tax credit deadline or is everyone just telling us this so we will buy now?
Thanks,
Toyya |

Houses do sell for more in the spring months, and more buyers are looking then, that's true. Families with children like to move with the school year. As for interest rates, they have nowhere to go but up,though no one really knows when that will start happening. |
