My wife and I are about to purchase a new home. We have done a lot of research and watched the market closely. We have some concerns with the economic mess that has recently unfolded. We have qualified at a good rate and have a good down payment! The payments are well with in our means. Our question is how will this economic mess affect our purchase and is buying now a wise decision? |

I don't know your personal situation -- your ages, your job plans, your family. Buying a house is not just an investment decision; in fact it shouldn't be that primarily. If you are ready to establish your own home, can afford it comfortably and expect to be there for some years, then this is actually a good time to buy. |
