Adding to Father's Deed

My father wants to add me to the title deed. How can it be done and are there any legal ramifications?

A lawyer can handle the simple paperwork, which involved your father signing a new deed that names the two of you as co-owners.  The wording of that deed would dictate the disposition of the property if one of you died.
Before doing anything, your dad should discuss with the lawyer all the advantages and drawbacks of the matter, including tax consequences if the property is ever sold.  I don't know much about your situation or your father's, so I can't say whether it would be a good move or not.  That's what the lawyer's advice is for.
