I've been a licensed New York State Real Estate Salesperson for almost a year. During the day I'm a Special Education Teacher's Assistant, and in the evenings and on weekends I conduct real estate business. Although this has (for the time being) been a part time career for me, I have already had several listings and have seen them successfully close. I presently have 4 properties under contract and I'm enjoying the industry immensely!
I have recently been given a referral and I don't want to botch it up. I hope you can give me some tips on how to clinch this one. My friend's father is a real estate developer. He is in the beginning stages of building 30 townhouses and will need an agency to handle the sales. Can you give me some good advice on how I can market myself to this developer so that he will be impressed enough to consider me and my team to be the exclusive sales agency for his project?
I thank you in advance for your assistance and look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
Terri G

Don't forget that you must work under your broker's supervision, and that your broker is the one to collect any commissions you earn. That's the person to guide you in this undertaking, better than I can. If you feel your broker doesn't have the experience you need, talk with one who does, and perhaps consider changing your affiliation. Sorry I can't advise you more specifically.
