Selling Commercial Real Estate

If I have a real estate license and sell residential in Missouri is there any reason legally I can't sell commercial and get the standard 3% commission?

Unless you have a broker's license and operate independently, you can do whatever your supervising broker approves of.  Commercial real estate is not covered by a separate license.  There is no standard commission, by the way, and particularly with commercial property commission rates sometimes vary.
