I would like to manage people's rental property for them (place renters, repair calls, advertisements, etc). Do I need to have a real estate license to own a property management business? I'm in North Carolina. |

Some states require a separate property management license, some don't require any license at all. Most, though, including North Carolina, require a real estate license. To get a feeling for how to get started, call a few property management companies and ask if you can interview with a supervisor. |
