Complaint Against a Realtor |
| |
 |
Is there a formal organization to file a grievance against a realtor? I live in Pa. I have asked my realtor for a phone number but the one she gave me is called Suswuehanna Board of Realtors. Its another realty company and I just don't trust the information given to me. |

Actually, a Board (or Association) of Realtors is a trade organization that many local Realtors belong to, and it is indeed the place for your problem. It will have a procedure all set up for handling complaints against its members. The first place to start, though, is with the supervising broker in your agent's office, assuming you haven't been dealing with the owner or the manager. Sometimes that solves the problem. Next stop, as your agent is a member, is with that Board of Realtors. In the end, if you want to bring in the big guns, you can contact the state's Real Estate Commission, which handles licenses and has the right to cancel them. |
