Accepting Referral Furniture |

As a Realtor,can I except free furniture from a company which will issue me a 1099. The furniture is worth only 300.00 according to the ticket price. The reason they are doing this is because I referred my clients to them?

I don't think it matters whether it's furniture or cash, or how much it comes to. You can accept it, but I'm wondering if your clients have a right to know about it. Are they still your clients after the closing? I'll have to kick this one around a bit; it's intriguing. |
